What to Expect

After you schedule an initial appointment with Dr. Singleton, you will receive a link in your email to complete the intake paperwork and electronically sign the informed consent, privacy, and office policies documents through a secure online portal. It is important that you complete this paperwork before attending your appointment.

Rates

The following fees are self-pay rates for services. If I am an in-network provider for your insurance plan, rates are determined per contract for each plan. If your insurance company does not pay the full amount of this rate based on your coverage benefits, you will be responsible for the remainder of the rate.

  • 45 minute therapy session (38-52 minutes): $160

  • 60 minute therapy session (53 - 60 minutes): $175

  • 60 minute initial intake session (53-60 minutes): $185

  • Psychological/Psychoeducational Testing: $175 per hour for administration, test scoring/interpretation, and evaluation report writing.

  • Career/Vocational Assessment: $175 per hour for administration, test scoring/interpretation, and evaluation report writing.

Insurance

Dr. Singleton is an in-network provider for the following insurance providers:

  • Aetna

  • Blue Cross/Florida Blue (not accepting out of state, federal or Anthem plans)

  • United Health Care (not Golden Rule or Medicaid)

Before your first appointment it is very important that you understand what your insurance covers. Your sessions may be covered in full or in part based on your coverage.

Please call your insurance provider and ask the following questions:

  • Do I have coverage for mental health services by a psychologist in an outpatient office or virtually?

  • What is my copay?

  • Do I have a deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions are covered per year?

  • What is the coverage amount for a 45 minute or 60 minute therapy session?

  • Is a preauthorization required before I can see a psychologist?

  • Do I need a referral from a primary care physician first? (Often not required)

Dr. Singleton is an out-of-network provider for all other insurance plans. It is possible that if you have out-of-network benefits you can have part of your session reimbursed to you by your insurance provider; however, you will be responsible to pay the full fee at time of service. Dr. Singleton can give you a superbill after your session to submit to your insurance provider.

Cancellations

If you do not attend your scheduled appointment and do not notify the office 24 hours in advance, you may be charged a fee as outlined in our office policies.

Please contact Dr. Singleton if you have any questions or concerns.
